Julianna Torres is part of the graduating Class of 2023 at KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate. They are interested in exploring a major in mathematics, economics, and English at Washington University in St. Louis. Julianna’s main goal is to later give back to their community by returning as a teacher. With their understanding of English and Spanish, they are acquiring their biliteracy seal to extend support to their community. Through the perusal of higher education, they aim to provide support and opportunities to those who may struggle with language barriers. Exploring possibilities to improve education in ways that interest students drive Julianna to continue forward. They are constantly working with students through their involvement in student council to gain insight and input on different perspectives within different learning environments.
