Ashley Vazquez

KIPP Texas Public Schools – Houston

Ashley Vazquez is part of the second graduating class of KIPP Connect Houston High School. Proudly, she will be the first in her family to graduate high school and further her education by attending college. During her time at KIPP Connect Houston, Ashley has been an active student taking a leadership role by being the editor of the campus school newspaper and yearbook. However, her true passion lies in the sciences, specifically biology. Her participation in the Learn2Lead Summer Program by MD Anderson’s Leadership Institution inspired her to explore different medical professionals, ultimately helping her narrow her career interest in becoming a physician assistant specializing in pediatrics, neurology, or dermatology. She will be getting closer to her dreams as she majors in biology at The University of Texas at Austin.
