Derek Reid

KIPP Texas Public Schools – Houston

Derek is a proud member of the KIPP Houston High School class of 2022. His hard work is evident in his love of learning and dedication to excellence. Over the past three years, Derek has maintained excellent grades (he is ranked 3 in his class), excelled in ten AP courses, and kept a part-time job outside of school. Additionally, Derek has demonstrated his leadership by serving as class president and through his many volunteer opportunities and internship. Derek is excited to continue his post-high school journey as a government major at the University of Texas at Austin.
