Xavier Watkins-Wright

Xavier cares about making the world a better place and intends to do just that. He has been an active member of the Gender Sexuality Alliance, UNIS: Human Rights Project, and the Environmental Club to name but a few. Xavier intends to major in environmental science at the University of Pennsylvania. His passion for building his career around protecting the environment takes on an even deeper meaning as he aims to be a visible representative for LGBTQ+ people of color within the STEM community. In addition to his STEM interests, Xavier is passionate about mental health and forming a strong sense of community. He has helped lead “Real Talks” within his school on topics such as gender inequality and intersectional feminism. Xavier is looking forward to continuing to develop all of these strengths and passions while in college.
