Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson donated $25,000 to KIPP Bay Area Schools on Friday, and he addressed the students at the KIPP Bridge Charter School in Oakland with a message about the importance of education.
He walked through the assembly of students, allowing each of them to touch the NBA championship trophy. Then, he met with the media to talk about the 2015-16 season, which begins Monday with the Warriors media day.
I want to get to the free-throw line more and be a better playmaker. If I do those two things, I think I can be great on the offensive end, Thompson said. Coach Ron Adams is on me all of the time about averaging five or six rebounds a game. Im like, Ron, weve got so many great rebounders. I dont know if I can jump over them. But Ill watch film and learn about the flight of the ball. Its something you just have to go out there and do.
