D.C. principal receives Milken Educator Award

It’s called the “Oscar of Teaching,” and today one very special local teacher won it.

The principal at Kipp D.C. College prep was honored with $25,000 and the Milken Educator Award Thursday during a special school assembly.

Principal Jessica Cunningham was shocked when she was honored with the award and ABC 7 reporter Suzanne Kennedy was there for the surprise ceremony.
